Cider House/Farmstand

Open whenever the farm is for fruit picking. Hard Cider, donuts, Jam, Honey, Maple, cold drinks, sweet treats, etc….

This time of year the info line is updated daily, if not twice a day when picking conditions change. Give it a call before your trip just to double check, ripe fruit availability and the weather can impact hours.

Butternut Farm is a 30 acre pick your own fruit farm nestled in the hills of Farmington NH. We take great pride in being a family-owned farm, where our sprawling orchards, berry patches, and Cider House come together to offer you an unforgettable farm visit experience. From June through the end of October, delight in the joy of fruit picking, and treat yourself to the tastes of our meticulously crafted hard cider.

Apple picking

The early season favorites Ginger Gold, Zestar, and Sansa are still picking. Macintosh, Cortland, Somerset and Gala are now open for picking, and Early Fuji will be ready for the weekend.

Expect our Honey Crisp to be ready beginning Tuesday Sept 16th.

Peach and Nectarine Picking

Price: $3.39/lb

Starting the week with Messina, a high quality yellow flesh. Lingering fruit can still be found in the Contender, Canadian Harmony, and Coralstar rows. Cold Hardy will be available again beginning Thursday.

Fantasia Nectarine, one of the season’s best fruit will begin it’s harvest on Thursday.

Call ahead for the daily availability! All varieties will not be available every day.

Pumpkin Picking

Price: $.69/lb

Take an adventure to our patch which is open with a great selection of Jack O Lanterns. Up by the farmstand you’ll find pie pumpkins, decorative gourds and regular pumpkins if you’d like a quicker grab and go.

Butternut Farm is a proud member of both the New Hampshire and Strafford County Farm Bureau Federation. Farmer Giff sits on the board of the county level.
